Description

A quick and healthy 30 Minute Broccoli Bowl packed with flavor and nutrients, suitable for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

45 cups Fresh Broccoli Florets
1 lb Firm Tofu or Chicken Breast (cubed)
2 tablespoons Avocado Oil
1/4 cup Liquid Aminos or Tamari
1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
1 tablespoon Fresh Grated Ginger
1 tablespoon Fresh Grated Garlic
1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
1 teaspoon Arrowroot Powder or Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Pat your protein dry with a paper towel and cube it into uniform half-inch pieces
  2. In a small bowl, combine liquid aminos, maple syrup, rice vinegar, grated ginger, garlic, and arrowroot powder. Whisk until the powder dissolves
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the protein for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brow
  4. Add remaining oil to the skillet, toss in the broccoli florets, and a splash of water. Cover for 2 minutes to steam-sear
  5. Remove the lid, return the protein to the pan, and pour the sauce over the mixture. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes as the sauce thickens
  6. Portion a base such as quinoa or rice into bowls and top with the broccoli and protein mixture. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired

Notes

Use a cast-iron skillet for best heat retention.

Cut the broccoli and protein into uniform sizes for even cooking.
