Description

These Baked Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs offer a symphony of flavors while nourishing your body from the inside out. Experience the perfect balance of tangy mustard and the natural, mineral-rich sweetness of honey. This recipe transforms a simple weeknight dinner into a nutrient-dense feast that supports muscle recovery and metabolic health.

Ingredients

Scale

1.52 lbs Chicken Thighs (Bone-in, skin-on or skinless)
1/3 Cup Raw Honey
1/4 Cup Dijon Mustard
2 Tablespoons Whole Grain Mustard
2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 Cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
Sea Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Fresh Rosemary or Thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C)
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and season both sides with sea salt and black pepper
  3. In a bowl, whisk together raw honey, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and smoked paprika until smooth
  4. Place the chicken in a baking dish and pour the glaze over, ensuring each piece is coated. Optionally, marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes
  5. Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
  6. Halfway through, baste with juices from the pan. Broil the chicken for the last 2-3 minutes for a crispy finish
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving

Notes

For a lower glycemic option, substitute honey with maple syrup or monk fruit sweetener. Use fresh garlic for better flavor and health benefits.
