This Chocolate Avocado Smoothie is a literal dream in a glass, combining the buttery smoothness of perfectly ripe avocado with the intense, aromatic punch of raw cacao. It offers a luscious texture and a deep flavor profile, making it a delightful and nutritious treat for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

Scale

1/2 medium Ripe Avocado
2 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1.5 cups Unsweetened Almond or Coconut Milk
12 tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup or Raw Honey
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Small pinch Sea Salt
1/2 cup Ice Cubes


Instructions

  1. Slice the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into your blender container
  2. Pour in your chilled almond milk and add the vanilla extract
  3. Measure out the cocoa powder and pour it on top of the liquid, then add your maple syrup or honey
  4. Add a tiny pinch of sea salt
  5. Blend on low, then increase to high for at least 45-60 seconds until completely smooth
  6. Add the ice cubes and blend for another 20 seconds until frosty
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed
  8. Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately

Notes

For a thicker texture, use frozen avocado.

For a low-sugar option, replace sweeteners with monk fruit or erythritol.
