Ingredients
2 Medium Granny Smith Apples (Cored)
1 Large Handful Fresh Baby Spinach
1 cup Unsweetened Almond or Coconut Milk
1 tablespoon Raw Honey or Maple Syrup
1/2 Inch Knob Fresh Ginger
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Ice Cubes
Instructions
- Wash the Granny Smith apples and slice them into quarters, removing the core
- Place the fresh baby spinach at the bottom of the blender
- Peel the fresh ginger and add it along with the lemon juice to the blender
- Drizzle the honey or maple syrup over the ingredients, followed by the almond or coconut milk
- Add the ice cubes last to keep the blades cool
- Blend starting on low and gradually increase to high for at least 60 seconds until smooth
- Pour into a chilled glass and serve immediately
Notes
For a thicker smoothie, substitute liquid milk with Greek yogurt.
Using frozen apple slices instead of ice can enhance the flavor without dilution.
