Ingredients
4 fillets Salmo
2 tablespoons Avocado Oil
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 Fresh Pineapple, diced
1 Red Bell Pepper, diced
1/2 Red Onion, finely diced
1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped
1 Jalapeño, minced
2 tablespoons Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
1 tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup
Instructions
- Prepare the Salsa: Start by dicing your fresh pineapple, red bell pepper, and red onion into small, uniform pieces. Place them in a medium bowl. Add the chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño, lime juice, and a drizzle of honey. Stir everything together and set it aside. Letting the salsa sit for 15-20 minutes allows the flavors to meld beautifully
- Preheat the Grill: Clean your grill grates and preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Brush the grates lightly with avocado oil to prevent the fish from sticking
- Season the Salmon: Pat your salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Brush both sides of the fish with avocado oil and season generously with sea salt and black pepper
- Grill the Salmon: Place the salmon on the grill, skin-side up first if you want those beautiful grill marks. Grill for about 4-5 minutes. Carefully flip the fillets using a wide spatula
- Finish Cooking: Continue grilling on the skin side for another 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the flesh flakes easily with a fork
- Serve: Plate the salmon fillets and top each one with a generous portion of the Grilled Salmon with Fresh Pineapple Salsa. Serve immediately while the fish is hot and the salsa is cool and refreshing
Notes
For best results, bring your salmon to room temperature for about 10-15 minutes before grilling.
Do not overcook the fish; it will continue to cook as it rests.
Dice all the salsa ingredients small for better flavor balance.
