Ingredients
6 Large Organic Apples (sliced)
1/2 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
1/3 Cup Melted Coconut Oil
1.5 Cups Gluten-Free Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup Almond Flour
1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamo
1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9 inch baking dish with coconut oil
- Peel, core, and slice the apples into uniform wedges, toss them with lemon juice, a splash of maple syrup, and half of the cinnamo
- Transfer the seasoned apples into the prepared baking dish, spreading them evenly
- In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, almond flour, remaining cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt. Pour in melted coconut oil and the rest of the maple syrup. Stir until the mixture looks like wet sand
- Sprinkle the oat mixture generously over the apples, covering them entirely
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until the topping turns golden brown and juices bubble around the edges
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving
Notes
Slicing apples about a quarter-inch thick helps maintain texture. Use a mix of apple varieties for better flavor.
