Description

This Healthy Apple Crumble with Oat Topping brings a cozy sanctuary feel with warm cinnamon and caramelized fruit. Tart apples collapse into a velvety sauce beneath a crunchy oat topping, creating a delightful contrast that celebrates freshness and wholesome ingredients. Ideal as a healthy breakfast or comforting evening treat.

Ingredients

Scale

6 Large Organic Apples (sliced)
1/2 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
1/3 Cup Melted Coconut Oil
1.5 Cups Gluten-Free Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup Almond Flour
1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamo
1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9 inch baking dish with coconut oil
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples into uniform wedges, toss them with lemon juice, a splash of maple syrup, and half of the cinnamo
  3. Transfer the seasoned apples into the prepared baking dish, spreading them evenly
  4. In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, almond flour, remaining cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt. Pour in melted coconut oil and the rest of the maple syrup. Stir until the mixture looks like wet sand
  5. Sprinkle the oat mixture generously over the apples, covering them entirely
  6. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until the topping turns golden brown and juices bubble around the edges
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving

Notes

Slicing apples about a quarter-inch thick helps maintain texture. Use a mix of apple varieties for better flavor.
