Healthy Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs are a delicious balance of rich chicken and zesty lemon and garlic flavors, creating a comforting dish perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
1.5 – 2 lbs Chicken Thighs
2 tbsp Avocado Oil
3 tbsp Grass-Fed Butter
5 cloves Fresh Garlic
1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Lemon Zest
1/3 cup Chicken Bone Broth
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
Sea Salt & Black Pepper to taste
1 tsp Dried Oregano
Instructions
- Start by patting the chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels and season both sides with sea salt, black pepper, and dried oregano
- Heat the Avocado Oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 6 to 8 minutes until golden, then flip and cook for another 4 minutes before removing them
- Lower the heat to medium and add the Grass-Fed Butter. Once melted, add the minced Garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant
- Pour in the Chicken Bone Broth, Fresh Lemon Juice, and Lemon Zest. Scrape up browned bits and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until reduced slightly
- Place the chicken thighs back in the skillet, ensuring the skin remains above the sauce. Simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
- Garnish with Fresh Parsley, spoon the sauce over the chicken, and serve immediately
Notes
Use fresh garlic for better flavor.
Make sure the pan is hot before adding the chicken.
