Ingredients
1.5 lbs Ground Chicken Breast
1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs (or Gluten-Free Alternative)
1 large Egg
1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or Avocado Oil)
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined
- Step 2: Take small portions of the chicken mixture and shape them into nuggets or small patties
- Step 3: Roll each shaped chicken nugget in the panko breadcrumbs
- Step 4: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the baking sheet or air fryer basket
- Step 5: For baking, arrange the nuggets on the baking sheet and lightly spray with oil. Bake for 18-22 minutes, flipping halfway through
- Step 6: For air frying, place nuggets in the basket and air fry for 10-14 minutes, shaking halfway through
- Step 7: Let the nuggets rest for a minute or two before serving
Notes
For gluten-free, use gluten-free panko or almond flour.
