Description

This Honey BBQ Steak and Rice Bowl combines the smoky depth of a charcoal grill with the natural sweetness of golden honey, delivering a culinary masterpiece. It features a sophisticated balance of savory protein, fluffy grains, and a rich honey BBQ glaze, ensuring a satisfying meal without sacrificing flavor or health.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs Grass-fed Sirloin or Ribeye (cubed)
2 cups cooked Organic Jasmine or Basmati Rice
3 tablespoons Raw Organic Honey
1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
2 tablespoons Avocado Oil
1/4 cup Coconut Aminos (or Tamari)
Fresh Scallions and Sesame Seeds to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse your rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions, using bone broth instead of water for added flavor
  2. In a small bowl, combine the honey, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until the honey dissolves
  3. Heat avocado oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cubed steak in a single layer
  4. Sear the steak undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a crust. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes
  5. Pour the honey BBQ mixture over the steak. Reduce the heat to medium and toss the meat constantly as the sauce thickens
  6. Fluff the rice and portion it into bowls. Top with the glazed beef and drizzle any remaining sauce over the bowl
  7. Garnish with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds

Notes

Use a cast-iron skillet for better heat retention.

Let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving to ensure tenderness.

Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking the steak.
