It features a sophisticated balance of savory protein, fluffy grains, and a rich honey BBQ glaze, ensuring a satisfying meal without sacrificing flavor or health.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs Grass-fed Sirloin or Ribeye (cubed)
2 cups cooked Organic Jasmine or Basmati Rice
3 tablespoons Raw Organic Honey
1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
2 tablespoons Avocado Oil
1/4 cup Coconut Aminos (or Tamari)
Fresh Scallions and Sesame Seeds to taste
Instructions
- Rinse your rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions, using bone broth instead of water for added flavor
- In a small bowl, combine the honey, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until the honey dissolves
- Heat avocado oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cubed steak in a single layer
- Sear the steak undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a crust. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes
- Pour the honey BBQ mixture over the steak. Reduce the heat to medium and toss the meat constantly as the sauce thickens
- Fluff the rice and portion it into bowls. Top with the glazed beef and drizzle any remaining sauce over the bowl
- Garnish with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds
Notes
Use a cast-iron skillet for better heat retention.
Let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving to ensure tenderness.
Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking the steak.
