Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken features tender, succulent chicken thighs bathed in a glossy, amber-hued sauce that perfectly balances floral honey sweetness and bold garlic kick.
Ingredients
2 lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs
1/2 cup Raw Honey
1/2 cup Low-Sodium Tamari or Liquid Aminos
5–6 cloves Fresh Garlic (Minced)
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tbsp Fresh Ginger (Grated)
2 tbsp Arrowroot Powder
Green Onions & Sesame Seeds (Garnish)
Instructions
- Sear the chicken thighs in Olive Oil for 2-3 minutes per side until golden-brown crust forms
- Whisk together honey, Tamari, minced garlic, ginger, and black pepper in a medium bowl
- Place seared chicken in slow cooker and pour honey mixture over the top
- Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours
- Thicken glaze by whisking arrowroot powder with cold water and adding it to the slow cooker, then cook on high for an additional 30 minutes
- Shred chicken slightly or leave whole, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
Reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of water or broth.
