Description

Steamed Chickpeas Snack offers a tender, buttery texture and a savory delight, perfect for family gatherings or a casual treat.


Ingredients

2 cans (15 oz each) Organic Chickpeas
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Rinse chickpeas under cold water and drain well
  2. Set up a steamer basket in a pot with about an inch of water, bring to a boil
  3. Add chickpeas to the steamer basket and cover, steam for 5 to 8 minutes
  4. Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a large bowl
  5. After steaming, transfer chickpeas to the bowl and toss to coat
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm

Notes

For a dessert-style snack, toss chickpeas in maple syrup and cinnamon instead of savory seasonings.
