Description

This Sugar-Free Whole Wheat Applesauce Banana Bread delivers maximum flavor with minimal effort, using natural sweetness from overripe bananas and unsweetened applesauce.


Ingredients

3 medium Overripe Bananas
1/2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1 3/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/3 cup Raw Honey or Maple Syrup
2 units Large Eggs
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamo
1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pa
  2. Mash the three ripe bananas until smooth
  3. Add the unsweetened applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well
  4. Add baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir briefly and fold in the whole wheat flour, taking care not to overmix
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick
  7. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
