This Sugar-Free Whole Wheat Applesauce Banana Bread delivers maximum flavor with minimal effort, using natural sweetness from overripe bananas and unsweetened applesauce.
Ingredients
3 medium Overripe Bananas
1/2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1 3/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/3 cup Raw Honey or Maple Syrup
2 units Large Eggs
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamo
1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pa
- Mash the three ripe bananas until smooth
- Add the unsweetened applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well
- Add baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir briefly and fold in the whole wheat flour, taking care not to overmix
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
