Ingredients
1.5 lbs Organic Chicken Breast sliced into strips
2 tablespoons Avocado Oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup Raw Honey or Pure Maple Syrup
2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice
1 tablespoon Fresh Garlic minced
1 tablespoon Grated Ginger
1–2 teaspoons Red Chili Flakes or Sriracha (to taste)
8–10 Large Butter Lettuce Leaves or Whole Grain Tortillas
1 cup Shredded Carrots
1 cup Red Cabbage
1 cup Sliced Scallions
Fresh Cilantro for garnish
Toasted Sesame Seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the raw honey, rice vinegar, fresh lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to prepare the sauce
- Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken strips until golden brown for about 5-7 minutes
- Lower the heat and pour the prepared sweet chili sauce over the chicken, stirring constantly until it thickens
- Wash and dry the lettuce leaves, or warm the tortillas, and shred the cabbage and carrots
- Assemble the wraps by placing a portion of glazed chicken, topped with shredded carrots, cabbage, and scallions in each wrap
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and toasted sesame seeds, and squeeze lime over the top before serving
Notes
For the best texture, avoid overcrowding the pan when searing the chicken.
To make lettuce wraps extra crisp, submerge leaves in ice water before using.
